The competition will be spread across 3 rounds in two classes, an open class and a women only class (Women may also compete in the open class), with the prizes going to those with the longest free fall times. “This was the most exhilarating flight I’ve ever experienced,” said Cani, who literally skimmed the bushes after flying past Christ the Redeemer. In spite of being so close to the ground, Cani maintained flight long enough to get to a location high enough above the ground to deploy his canopy. “It was almost miraculous,” Cani said, “I truly felt a greater power was watching over me.” “I am hoping that the imagery captured during this flight will convey the sense of freedom, emotion and awareness of everything around you; especially when you only have control over certain elements in life.” After more than a year! of planning this event, Cani was able to fly in his BIRDMAN S6 wingsuit, past the statue, which stands 38 meters (125 feet) atop the 710 meter (2,330-foot) tall Corcovado Mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city and its world renown beaches.

Macca, the newest addition to the BIRDMAN flock, as our PR and marketing coordinator, got married to Jude on a beautiful sunny day in the UK June 1. We all at BIRDMAN want to congratulate you both from the very bottom of our hearts and wish you all the best now and in the future. Jude is of course a stunning birdbabe and has a number of BIRDMAN flights. Welcome to the family. 
This is the big one! If you fly a wingsuit, you have to be there. Jumps will be made from an AN72 Jet aircraft from 16,000ft all week over an unused international airport. There will be world class coaching and load organising, available for all skill levels, from the BIRDMAN factory skyflying team Top Gun and BIRDMAN Chief instructors, Rolf Brombach, Scott Campos, Mark Harris and Jari Kuosma. We’ll be working on increasing both skills and safety in the air, progressing through the week to a WORLD RECORD attempt on the Saturday for the largest number of wingsuits to exit a single aircraft. The Hungarian BASE and skydiving club are organising the first international wingsuit event in Hungary. The event will take place in Kapos and there will be free first flight courses, free demo suits and world class coaching. As well as fun laid back flocks, there will be a competition to find the flattest flying angle of the competitors. The winner will be decided using GPS data taken from the averages of three jumps.
Dubbed the BIRDMAN Air Race, this event will cost you 24 Euro to enter, which isn’t bad considering they have a 5000 Euro prize purse, the largest of any wingsuit competition in the world. First prize is a brand new custom BIRDMAN Blade wingsuit!
