Peter Hambleton è un attore neozelandese di cinema, film Tv e teatro; è anche regista di spettacoli teatrali. Molto conosciuto sulla scena dei teatri di Wellington, ha interpretato l’ornitologo Walter Buller nell’opera del 2006 Dr Buller’s Birds e Charles Darwin nell’opera del 2009 Collapsing Creation.

Nell’ottobre 2010 è stata annunciata la sua entrata nel cast de Lo Hobbit nel quale interpreterà il nano Gloin
